Empowering Pasadena's at-risk youth, one cup at a time.
Rosebud Coffee
Our cafe started with a small coffee cart, which we lovingly named Rosebud. For years, we traveled around LA, empowering youth to practice their newfound craft of coffee, leading to the establishing of our first permanent cafe in Pasadena, Rosebud Coffee, which we named after our little cart. We invite you stop by, sip our coffee, chat with our baristas, and find out what it means to be a part of #CoffeeWithACause.
Our Youth Training Program
Coffee With A Cause empowers Transitional Age Youth (TAY) — young people ages 16 to 24 who have experienced foster care, homelessness, or justice system involvement to build a pathway toward lasting employment, stability, and purpose. At the core of our mission is the Ready, Set, Hire Internship Program, a paid job training initiative that combines hands-on experience, industry-recognized certificates, and one-on-one mentorship to prepare youth for meaningful careers.
Partnerships
Our youth interns are placed in real-world environments through partnerships with local employers across a wide range of industries, including coffee, fitness, dog care, retail, landscaping, and construction. Through these placements, young people gain not only job-specific skills but also the confidence, soft skills, and professional exposure necessary to succeed. See our Partners page to see the full list of current business and non-profit partners.
